Supervisory Committee: The committee, consisting of a tenured chair plus two faculty members for a masters degree and a tenured chair plus four members for a doctoral degree, is to be nominated by the chair of the supervisory department or the Director of Graduate Studies. One or more members of the supervisory committee shall be appointed from another department, a sixth committee member may be nominated either from within the department, our outside the department. Recommended changes in committee appointments must be submitted to the ECS academic coordinator. Committee appointments are not final until approved by the Dean of The Graduate School.
